چکیده

Investigations of propagation into, and within, buildings at 900, J800 and 2300 MHz have been undertaken. The composite Rayleigh-plus-log-normal distribution successfully modelled the measured cumulative distributions of all measurements. The average measured penetration loss at ground floor level was found to be 14.2, 13.4 and 12.8 dB respectively at 900, 1800 and 2300 MHz. The rate of change of penetration loss with height was -1.4 dB per floor. The rate of change of mean signal level for signals travelling within buildings was, on average, 8.5 dB per floor. The path loss attenuation factor, n, that best modelled the within-building measurement was found to be 5.3, 5.5 and 6.0 respectively for 900, 1800 and 2300 MHz.

Estimating coverage of radio transmission into and within buildings at 900, 1800, and 2300 MHz

Investigations of propagation into and within buildings at 900, 1800, and 2300 MHz have been undertaken, using buildings both in the University of Liverpool precinct and in the commercial center of the city of Liverpool, United Kingdom. The emphasis of this article is the modeling of radio transmission into buildings that uses the measured penetration loss values in order to adjust the propagat...

An Assessment of the Evolution of Structural Forms of Iranian Schools: Seljukid Era into Ghajar Period (From the Fifth to the Fourteenth Century AH)

Educational spaces in Iran took the formal identity of "schools" after "Nezamieh" education centers were introduced by Nezam-olmolk during the Seljukid period. Some structural elements such as cells, porches and courtyards, etc. were included in school buildings and a new kind of structural pattern emerged within them. However, enhancements of architectural techniques in the following historica...

کاربرد روش معادله سهموی در تحلیل مسائل انتشار امواج داخل ساختمان

With the rapid growth of indoor wireless communication systems, the need to accurately model radio wave propagation inside the building environments has increased. Many site-specific methods have been proposed for modeling indoor radio channels. Among these methods, the ray tracing algorithm and the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method are the most popular ones. The ray tracing approach ...

2 GHz outdoor to indoor propagation at high elevation angles

The case of outdoor to indoor propagation prediction at high elevation angles has been scarcely addressed and no direct relationship between the elevation angles and the building penetration loss has been reported. High Altitude Platform Stations a new means of providing International Mobile Telephony (IMT-2000)-will be operating at high elevation angles. This paper examines the impact of the h...

A New Algorithm to Enhance Radio Wave Propagation Strength in Dead Spots for Cellular Mobile WiFi Downloads

Signal loss is a major problem for cellular wireless devices, resulting in dropped calls and failure in downloading data. Our research uses a combination of different interaction models to provide an easy interface to replace traditional control methods for maintaining signal levels. The lossy WiFi wave propagation around and within buildings is studied utilizing college buildings at the Univer...
